If you’ve ever been to Strawberry Hill, you’ve likely met a Breitenstein, the name that started it all. In 1999 Bob Breitenstein had a decision to make: move to Houston with his company, or take his severance and open a bar, a longtime dream of his. He chose the latter, and in 2002–after a lot of love and elbow grease–he and his wife Linda opened what would become one of KCK’s most beloved pubs, Breit’s Stein & Deli.

Over the years, Breit’s has been the go-to spot in KCK for countless celebrations–from community fundraisers, pub crawls, birthdays and retirements to engagements, bachelorettes and even a wedding or two. And of course, THE BEST St. Paddy’s Day parties in all of Kansas City!
